Hi everyone
I took SAT exam and the result of Critical reading section was 460. I know it’s bad and i really need to improve.
So anyone here who has many experiences and skills please give me advices: books, strategies, programs … etc whatever you think helpful
I’d appreciate that
Thanks in advance
- read as much as possible
- learn how to read and think critically(there are free lessons and guides about critical reading and thinking online. Many of them are college lectures which I find pretty interesting and useful. Just an example: sjsu.edu/depts/itl/007/part1/f-wk2a.html)
- find study guide books such as Peterson SAT Reading Workbook, Barron’s, Princeton Review, CB guide etc… Read them, and do the practise
- CB has a SAT question everyday and free pratise tests. Take 'em all.
- vocabulary is important and SAT has a variety of words. The best way to increase your vocabulary is, I think, to read a variety of literary works, news, journals etc…
These are only my advice and I’m looking forward to the ideas of other people!
