Critical reading section

Hi everyone
I took SAT exam and the result of Critical reading section was 460. I know it’s bad and i really need to improve.
So anyone here who has many experiences and skills please give me advices: books, strategies, programs … etc whatever you think helpful
I’d appreciate that
Thanks in advance

  1. read as much as possible
  2. learn how to read and think critically(there are free lessons and guides about critical reading and thinking online. Many of them are college lectures which I find pretty interesting and useful. Just an example: sjsu.edu/depts/itl/007/part1/f-wk2a.html)
  3. find study guide books such as Peterson SAT Reading Workbook, Barron’s, Princeton Review, CB guide etc… Read them, and do the practise
  4. CB has a SAT question everyday and free pratise tests. Take 'em all.
  5. vocabulary is important and SAT has a variety of words. The best way to increase your vocabulary is, I think, to read a variety of literary works, news, journals etc…

These are only my advice and I’m looking forward to the ideas of other people!
