Could you check my sentence?

  • Students will be trained in their chosen fields and be taught work-related skills
    or
Students will be trained in their chosen fields and will be taught work-related skills?

  • Also, can I replace “and” with “as well as”?
    Thanks a lot!!

I would simply insert the phrase ‘they will also’ after ‘and’

  • Students will be trained in their chosen fields and they will also be taught work-related skills.

However you can also split your sentence as follows:

  • Students will be trained in their chosen fields. In addition, they will also be taught work-related skills.

‘As well as’ would only make your sentence very complicated and maybe unintelligible.

Chillbi, I hope this is useful.

Hi Chillbi, you’re very welcome and I’m very happy I could be of some help to you. If you have other sentences you want checked, please do not hesitate to post them. We will certainly have a look at them and try to create better ones for you, if necessary.
