A) “A series of incidents has taken place”. However, some people would also accept “have” here. There may be AmE/BrE differences in preference/acceptability.

B) “It is a five-man committee”.

C) The river has overflown its bank.-------I don’t know the answer for this
D) Give me rupees two and a half.---------I don’t know the answer for this

A) The proceeds of the charity show are for riot victims–No idea.
B) He asked Ajay and I to go.--------- He asked Ajay and me to go.
C) The weather of this place does not suit me.— no idea
D) Either Rajesh or his friends has done it.—I don’t think there’s any mistake here with “HAS” cos it should be singular when “either” is used

I don’t know the rules for this set. Which one of far/too/hard should be placed first?

A) It is far too hard an essay for me to attempt.
B) It is too far hard an essay to attempt for me.
C) Too far it is an essay hard for me to attempt.
D) It is too hard an essay for me to far attempt.

A) They have placed order for books. ----I think the correct sentence is “They have placed an order for books” Yes
B) He has applied for a/the lectureship.
C) The river has overflowed its bankb[/b]. – (“banks” seems more likely).
D) Give me two and a half rupees.

A) The proceeds of the charity show are for riot victims–Sentence is OK (apart from missing full stop).
B) He asked Ajay and I to go.--------- He asked Ajay and me to go. Yes
C) The weather in this place does not suit me.
D) Either Rajesh or his friends has done it. — With “either”, a rule often quoted is to match the verb with the nearest noun. Here this is “friends”, so by that rule it should be “have”.

A) It is far too hard an essay for me to attempt. This one is correct.
B) It is too far hard an essay to attempt for me.
C) Too far it is an essay hard for me to attempt.
D) It is too hard an essay for me to far attempt.
