Hello, Htk-- and welcome to English-test.

All of your sentences are fine, with the possible exception of #6. Although it is perfectly grammatical, native speakers seldom use ‘for’ to mean ‘because’ nowadays. It is a fading use, and it now sounds literary or oratorical. It would not appear in a sentence about baseball. This is natural:

6. The umpires went on strike because they wanted larger salaries and more benefits.

Mister Micawber,
Could I not say:
“Aunt Rosie knitted for him a sweater with matching gloves.”
Please comment.
Thanks,

Not if you wish to remain natural, Hanifasmm. These are your choices:

She knitted him some gloves.
He knitted some gloves for him.
