  1. Traditional decorations are composed of greenery.
  2. Traditional decorations composed of greenery.
    Which sentence is correct?

According to me, in the case of an entity with constituent units, the phrase ‘composed of’ is used with a form of the ‘be’ verb only in the passive voice.

So, here, ‘Traditional decorations consist of greenery’ would be better.

The second sentence is not correct.
