My ideas might be scattered, since I wrote this essay while working.
“Competition is a destructive force in Society”
Generally speaking, competition can mean when several different persons compete to achieve the same goal. Competition among individuals is as old as the existence of human life. While many people argue that competition holds lots of disadvantage for a society, others consider competition a driving force of our society. Competition is so natural that it can be found in any creature in the world, from human beings to the simplest animal. In what follows in my essay, I will discuss the effects of competitive forces in our society.
To start with, competition is essential part of our lives, even if it is sometimes unnoticed. People compete with each other for job, education, women or man. There is no person in the world who has never competed with someone for something. Competition is so natural that we in fact do not notice it when we compete for something. For example, when we discuss we might try to gain advantage by acquiring information.
Furthermore, competition is coded in us genetically. Every existent in world wants to survive and to survive these existents must compete with other animals. As super humans we are on the top of the evolution and therefore we do not need to compete with other animals, instead we are in fight with other human beings. This fight can bring out from human beings either negative forces or positive forces.
One must see that competition created in many positive things our life. Without competition there would be no inventions, no technology advancements and no human life. With our inventions, we become the ruler of the world and eventually the very top predators. Competition is the driving force that creates better jobs, easier way of life, improved education and sophisticated traffic systems, just to name a few.
In contrast with the positive effects of competition, the vicious effects are prevalent. These negative forces can cause aggression and distractions. The force that creates new developments, entertainment and technological advancements can be transferred to negative energies. For example of the negative force are wars among nations. When people try to gain competitive advantage by using aggression and sneaking methods then they undermine the potentially positive effects of competition.
Additionally, I cannot stand to mention in this subject the great movie, the star wars. In this movie we can hear lots of times about the forces that surround us. In the movie, as in the reality, the dark force is in fight with the positive “jedi” force.
To sum up the subject of competition, I would say that competition can create lots of advancements in the society. However, if the competitive force is used to create aggression then it will eventually harm our ways of lives.
