compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from

compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books . In your opinion, which source is more important?Why?

We learn a big part of our knowledge from books and our experiences. Now there is a question "which of them are most important? Book or experience? “. There is where some debates arise. Some people advocate that we learn from books more than what we learn from our experiences and the other group has an opposite idea. In my opinion, I agree that knowledge from experience is more important than the knowledge from book”. I will illustrate my point of view with some reasons and examples.

In the first place, we read books beyond our educational period to gain fundamental knowledge for our desire jobs. For example, when a civil student study mathematics and physics in the university, these course just help him/her to better evaluation in his/her future job but without any experience related to his/her job he/she would not able to build a building or bridge. Books are just complement of experience, they give us just theory’s nature of science and technology and sometimes they learn us about experiences of other people.

In the second place, knowledge from experience is more stable than knowledge from books. When we make a mistake in our life or our work, it remains in our mind very better than a matter that we just read about it in a book or magazine. Imagine that you want to know about Iran, for example about its culture, its people, its nature and so on. What is the best way? Reading some books about it or gaining an experience by traveling there. You could read about its famous foods and maybe you could see some pictures about them but can you taste their smells by reading books. “Experience is the best teacher”, although it is an old cliche but I agree with that.

In conclusion, needless to say both of books and experience are so important during our life. Experience is more important than books because without knowledge from experience it is impossible to get a real understanding of knowledge from books and how to apply this knowledge to real world situations.

Great essay Morvarid. My suggestion to make it better is in green color. Most of them are my personal idea, and you know I’m a learner just like you and maybe my ideas are wrong! I send it just for share. Both of us will wait for an expert to say his/her mind about this essay.

[color=darkred]compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books . In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?

We learn a big part of our knowledge from books and our [color=green](I think without OUR it would be more general, just personal idea :D) experiences. Now there is a question "which of them are most important? Book or experience? “[color=green](Test takers don’t like such sentences, it’s better to write it in other way than suggesting a question. In this way they think you just copied the question’s sentence). There is where some debates arise. Some people advocate that we learn from books more than what we learn from our experiences and the other group has an opposite idea. In my opinion, I agree that knowledge from experience is more important than the knowledge from book”. I will illustrate my point of view with some reasons and examples [color=green](this sentence is extra, you don’t need such sentence).

[color=green](Because this is a comparison question and you have to consider both sides, I mean both sides should be debated in the essay, you must express your idea in paragraph 4, which P1 is for introduction, P2 for side A of the question and P3 for side B, and then P4 for your idea to express.)

In the first place, we read books beyond our educational period to gain fundamental knowledge for our desire jobs. For example, when a civil student study mathematics and physics in the university, these course just help [color=green]him/her to better evaluation in [color=green]his/her future job but without any experience related to [color=green]his/her job [color=green]he/she would not able to build a building or bridge. Books are just complement of experience, they give us just theory’s nature of science and technology and sometimes they learn (teach) us about experiences of other people.

[color=green](We have to ask an expert about how to write sentences about absent person and how to use “he” and “she” in our essay. If you look to this paragraph there is so many he/she, her/his… which make essay weird)

In the second place, knowledge from experience is more stable than knowledge from books. When we make a mistake in our life or our [color=green](this “our” is extra) work, it remains in our mind very better than a matter that we just read about it in a book or magazine. Use the pronoun ‘their’ instead. Although the writing is about singular, because the gender is unknown the singular ‘their’/‘they’ is acceptable.

would you please check this essay and let me know outcome?

it has been said" not everything that is learned is contained in books" compare and contrast knowledge gained from books in your opinion which source is more important ? why?

How often do you read book? personally I believe that most of the knowledge can be gained by books but if generally there are many ways to gain knowledge such as experience and inherit knowledge that we learn from who are older than us or by the events that is happening for us; lets talk about this issue more.
Statistics has shown each family has at least an informative book in the house that can use it for gaining some information from that book . for example in my home there are many kinds of books such as fiction types , adventure types , some books which has been written in tragedy type and encyclopedia and many other subjects ; all of my family has gained many information from these books and the books were informative for us . we have learnt many things , such as cooks , and geographical places ,and how to increase life time with foods and vegetables , or some psychological books such as how to improve your mind to become success or how to become rich with changing your mind or there are many scientific and technical books that has been taught in universities or schools . As you can see we can gain extensive kinds of knowledge from books.
On the other hand , few kinds of knowledge cannot be gained by reading book , such as advises from our parents , experiences that we learn in our life or some inherit knowledge that they are ongoing knowledges which we learn day by day . for instance , child who wants to learn how to walk is a kind of knowledge that would not be gained from books or learning how to drive a car is such as this kind of knowledge . you would not be able to drive a car just by reading a book and it needs to be experienced by yourself . although we can find most the knowledge in the book but as you can see some of them hasn`t been written in any books.
In a conclusion , I can say around eighty percent of knowledge can be gained by books but remains should be gained by other subjects such as advises , experiences . but I would say reading books in anybody life is mandatory because it would a big reference of information and knowledge and I advise it for all of people who is reading this essay.

Hi Dear Soheil;
You have to open a topic for yourself and send your text there. This is Morvarid’s topic.
As I said to Morvarid my corrections is my personal idea and maybe there is some wrong recommendation in my views.

How often do you read book? [color=green](First sentence in first paragraph called Thesis Sentence, that’s the most important sentence of one’s essay, so it’s not a good idea to start with cliche question)personally I believe that most of the knowledge can be gained by books but if generally there are many ways to gain knowledge such as experience and inherit knowledge that we learn from who are older than us or by the events that is happening for us [color=green](It’s too long sentence, try write small sentences with connectors); lets talk about this issue more [color=green](this is an extra sentence).

Statistics has shown each family has at least an informative book in the house that can use it for gaining some information from that book. For example in my home there are many kinds of books such as fiction types , adventure types , some books which has been written in tragedy type and encyclopedia and many other subjects ; all of my family has gained many information from these books and the books were informative for us. we have learnt many things , such as cooks , and geographical places ,and how to increase life time with foods and vegetables , or some psychological books such as how to improve your mind to become success or how to become rich with changing your mind or there are many scientific and technical books that has been taught in universities or schools . As you can see we can gain extensive kinds of knowledge from books. [color=green](I think you have to arrange your sentences in some other ways; here is a hint which can be written after for example: For example I have a book about cook which teach us how to cook. I learned so mch, but without cooking it cannot be proved that it’s useful. So here knowledge from books combined with knowledge from experience and taught me how to cook well.
As you see I suggest an example and then extend it. That’s what graders look in evaluating our essays: extension of example, not just some examples.)

On the other hand , few kinds of knowledge cannot be gained by reading book , such as advises from our parents[color=green] (! this is not a kind of what you’ve said) , experiences that we learn in our life or some inherit knowledge that they are ongoing knowledges which we learn day by day. for instance , child who wants to learn how to walk is a kind of knowledge that would not be gained from books or learning how to drive a car is such as this kind of knowledge . you would not be able to drive a car just by reading a book and it needs to be experienced by yourself . although we can find most [color=green]of the knowledge in the book but as you can see some of them hasn`t been written in any books.

In a conclusion [color=green](I think it’s better not to express this), I can say around eighty percent of knowledge can be gained by books but remains should be gained by other subjects such as advises , experiences . but I would say reading books in anybody life is mandatory because it would a big reference of information and knowledge and I advise it for all of people who is reading this essay [color=green](Advise always have some negative meaning, you know young people especially teenagers don’t like to be advised. So writing a sentence as advising the reader makes him feel bad, on the other hand such sentence put you in high horse position which nobody like to be talked by such kind of person) .

[color=green]Capitalize first characters of sentences
Make some results from examples you write in your essay.
Write first sentences of paragraphs as most complete and most important sentence.
Read some books about how to write a TOEFL essay.

In some samples as I’ve seen, writer choice one person and talk about him. For example if we have to talk about an absent person which gender is unclear, we must consider the person as man or woman and there is not need to write both of them.
For example if we want to talk a teacher’s most important skill, we consider the teacher as a man or woman and we talk about that person in one pronoun.
Example: A teacher should have a sense of humidity. [color=green]He have to love students and take care of them. [color=green]His most important issue must be children’s future.
