Come down with vs. go down with

Dear Bees,

I understand we use come down with only for we and 2nd and 3rd persons.
And go down with for I, the first person.

But, some teachers say we can use come down with for all persons.

Am I right or not?

Please teach me with some examples. Thank you.

kind regards.

Please provide an example sentence or two, as I am not certain what you mean.

Hi Mr. Kyaw Min Lwin,

If you use that expression to mean ‘be subjected to’ or ‘become victim of/to an illness/infection’, it is not restricted to any person singular or plural.

Alan
