Carry it on OR Carry on it?

I have just got a question.
Between ‘carry it on’ and ‘carry on it’, which one is correct? Which one is more common?

With the phrasal verb “carry on”, only “carry it on” is correct, because when the object of a phrasal verb is a pronoun, the particle (in this case “on”) MUST be moved to the position after it.
