Hi, I’d like to be told the difference between 1) and 2) below

  1. I’ve been carried away.
  2. I’ve wandered in thought.

Are there other ways to say the same?
Are there any words which can substitute “been carried away”?

I wouldn’t use either.

  1. I got carried away = I got excited and lost control of what I was doing to a certain extent.
  2. My thoughts wandered = I started daydreaming/thinking about something else.

They do not have the same meaning.

1 ‘carried away’ has a meaning which is not appropriate in that sentence, which is also missing a possessive apostrophe + s

2 could possibly be:
My thoughts wandered to what happened yesterday.
