Capital word: Opposites attract. vs opposites attract.

 • In a word she is the complete opposite in temperament of Andrew. Here comes another cliche: Opposites attract.

Isn’t that part suppose to be “: opposites attract.”? Or it doesn’t matter either way?

Nice catch! I’d prefer “Opposites attract”, which is a sentence.

Come on Aikuzo, now you´re getting nitpicking.

I can´t imagine that there is a strong rule to follow whether to start texts after the colon with capital letter or not but forsomore I think the writer is free to use the opportunity of choosing the importance of the written and stressing the attention of the reader to the following saying.

But see the following hint: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/marks/colon.htm

Hope it helps.
