Hmm… Well, maybe you should pratice reading something you like read. Just for fun. Maybe you are into science? Read magazines like American Scientists. If you are into sports, read Sports Illustrated. If you read something you are interested, you wouldn’t wonder off as much. You can start with that…
If you can’t even focus with something you might find interesting, well then maybe hypnosis? I believe it can take away test anxiety, but it doesn’t work with everybody. Take a deep breath, and good luck!
have you ever meditated? if you get comfortable doing that, you will be able to concentrate more easily and effectively.
also, try and read more so that you become a skilled reader…this will make the reading section easier and thus it will be easier to focus.
otherwise, i couldn’t focus before either, but i learned how to make things more interesting.

Take a five minute break for water or a snack here and there. And, see what you can do to make it fun. Study with a friend or in a group, and find interactive games online to help you study. You really have to mix it up. Finally, you really need to find materials that engage you. I know for me, the very sterile, corporate approach of materials from Kaplan and Princeton review really didn’t resonate with me. So I found books that focused on testing styles as well as information. Because, knowing the test inside and out is at least as important as knowing the material.
