Can I ignore the field Score Report Recipients in TOEFL ibt registration form?

Hello everybody!

I am going to take toefl ibt test next month. the registration form has the field “Score Report Recipients”, i don’t know what i have to fill in. Now I am in Vietnam, I am going to immigrate to USA in 2010. Can I ignore that field? because I don’t know what state i will live at and what university I must enter.

After i immigrate there, i wonder whether universities there still accept my toefl score or not. I am afraid of that they don’t accept it although i have the score they require just because i don’t have those universities in that field.

Please answer me quickly!
I appreciate any suggestion.

If you ignore that field on the form, your TOEFL scores won’t be sent to anybody but you.

If you’re going to apply to any colleges, then you’ll want to send the scores to any college you’re interested in, which require a TOEFL score as part of the admissions process.

You can request up to 4 different Score Report Recipients on that form.

If you leave it blank, you can request your scores be sent to a recipient at a later date, after the test, but you must then pay $20 per requested recipient. To send the 4 free scores you can request on the test, would cost you $80 later.

TOEFL scores are valid for two years after the test date. A university will not reject your test scores just because you didn’t request to submit the scores at the time of the test.

In short, yes you can leave that field blank. The only drawback is that it will cost you more to have the scores sent at a later date. It does not affect the validity of those scores.
