"by two cars" or "in two cars"?

Hi,

Would you tell me which is correct?

Let’s go by two cars OR Let’s go in two cars.
AND
Let’s go by my car OR Let’s go in my car.

Thanks
Liza

Hi Liza,

Once you have ‘qualified’ the noun ‘car(s)’ in other words when you have described it as in ‘my’ ‘your’ ‘big’ ‘two’ and so on, you would have to use ‘in’.

Some examples: We went there by car
We went there in my car
We went there in two cars
