tell me plz which one is correct: she was sitting at home …
by herself, only herself, on her own, or other. P.S. the meaning is that none esle was in.
She was sitting at home by herself.
She was sitting at home on her own.
She was sitting alone at home.
Beeesneees,
- She was sitting at home by herself.
- She was sitting at home on her own.
- She was sitting alone at home.
Do #1 and #2 mean #3?
Can I not say: - She was sitting alone at home by herself.
The first three all mean the same.
The fourth contains a redundancy. You don’t need ‘alone’ and ‘by herself’.
You can also say:
She was sitting at home, alone.
ok, thank you all, guys, i decided that “she was sitting alone at home” is the best one. D:
