“The bridegroom’s hair was well groomed and the groom wore costly dress.”
Is this sentence OK and meaningful?
The “bridegroom … groomed … groom” combination feels awkward (unless deliberately repetitive for effect, I suppose). It is also a bit confusing because “groom” is a common abbreviation of “bridegroom” and yet here they are presumably two different people.
“wore expensive clothes” would be more usual in everyday English.
The bridegroom’s hair was well groomed and he was expensively dressed.
