Which is correct?
Your handwriting is better than that of mine.
Your handwriting is better than that of I.
Your handwriting is better than that of me.
4 Your handwriting is better than mine.
a better sentence would be " Your handwriting is better than my handwriting"?
still what would be correct out of above four?

I’m with 4 only, too. Apart from the inaccuracy of 1,2 and 3, you can’t have ‘I’ after a preposition.

Hi Alan and Barb,
Could you please explain why #1 is wrong?
Many thanks,
Nessie.

Hi Nessie,
The main reason is that some of the language in the sentence is unnecessary. A comparison is made between your handwriting and my handwriting. The easiest way to express this is to say: Your handwriting is better than mine. 'That of ’ is not needed.

By the way, among “You know English better than ME”, “You know English better than I do” and “You know English better than I”, which one is correct?
Thanks a lot.
