Hi,
I was wondering if the following sentence is fine: “Beeing considered a boring person it depends of our point of view”.
Thanks.
Hi,
I was wondering if the following sentence is fine: “Beeing considered a boring person it depends of our point of view”.
Thanks.
Definitely not.
My suggestion:
It depends on a person’s point of view as to whether someone is considered to be boring.
Hi Bev, thanks for your suggestion. (Your sentence is still too difficult for my English.)
***** NOT A TEACHER *****
Hello, Francis:
How about:
“Whether or not a person is boring is a matter of opinion.”
Hi James,
Yes, your sentence is a bit easier for my elementary English.
Thanks for your attention.
I think your original sentence was not too far off - I guess you meant “Being a boring person depends on our point of view.” - but who is the “our” here? the boring people or the observers?
Hi Luschen,
In my mind, our = the observers.
Thank you for your kind note, Francis.
James
If you don’t mind, as close to the original as I can: Considering a person to be boring depends on your point of view. (It depends on your point of view whether to consider a person boring.)
That’s what I wanted to say.
That’s not well constructed though. It seems that what you really wanted to say was:
Whether you consider a person to be boring (or not) depends on your point of view.
Yes, I confirm.
