be upset with vs. be upset about

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me the difference between " be upset with" and " be upset about"?

Thanks,

Minh

Hi Minh,

‘Upset with’ usually refers to being disappointed with people and ‘upset about’ usually refers to things.

I was very upset with George because he forgot my birthday/for forgetting my birthday.

I was upset about the loss of money/ about losing my money.

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thank you very much for your clear explanation between those two words.

Thanks,

Minh
