be tired of vs. be tired from

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me the difference between “be tired of” and " be tired from"?

Many thanks,

Minh

Hi Minh,

‘Tired of’ suggests that you have had enough of a particular activity/thing as in: Parents sometimes get tired of the endless questions their children ask them.

‘Tired from’ suggests you are tired as a result of an activity as in: As soon as I sat down, I fell asleep as I was tired from all the work I had done in the garden.

Hi Alan,

Thank you for giving me the explaination of the difference between those words.

Many thanks,

Minh
