‘astonishingly’ is similar to ‘amazingly’ - to everyone’s amazement.

Astonishingly, he finished medical school in three years.
The old man was in astonishingly good health considering his age.

(Sorry E2, but your last sentences don’t make sense. You probably mean:
I have explained this to you astonishingly well, haven’t I? (I don’t have an alternative sentence in my mind at the moment.)

I have simply made an oversight writing “have I” instead of “haven’t I”. That’s all.

I’m afraid there’s more than that. Even if you change the tag:

you will see a number of necessary changes.
