as warm as

Are these sentences correct:
[color=darkred]1-The water is warm as you like.
[color=red]2-The water is as warm as you like.
[color=indigo]3-The water is as warm as you like it.

[color=blue]4-The water is warm, as you like.
[color=darkblue]5-The water is warm, as you like it.

I think the first three are correct and mean the same.

In ‘4’ and ‘5’, ‘as you like (it)’ is non-restrictive. You like the water warm and it is cold.
In ‘1’, ‘2’ and ‘3’, ‘as you like’ is restrictive. We are saying how warm it is.

I do not think ‘4’ works.

Gratefully,
Navi.

1-The water is warm as you like. <-- incorrect
2-The water is as warm as you like. (‘it to be’ is assumed.)
3-The water is as warm as you like it.

4-The water is warm, as you like. <-- incorrect
5-The water is warm, as you like it.

None of them mean that the water is cold. They all indicate that the water is the correct temperature for the person.

Hello, Beeesneees:

Can we also say means in lieu of mean in this case?

Thanks..

yes
