please tell me which sentence is correct. Why?

As soon as I received the letter, I will send it to main office. or

As soon as I receive the letter, i will send it to main office

If you are talking about the past: “As soon as I received the letter, I sent it to main office.”

If you are talking about the future: “As soon as I receive the letter, I will send it to main office.”

You just need to make the tenses match, but taking into account that future tense is not used with time markers like “as soon as”, “when”, “before”, “after”, etc. (present tense is used instead).
