Are you done?

( students are taking exams in their room )

their teacher asked them, " Are you done?".

Students: not yet!

Question: Is the sentence Are you done correct?

Thank you so much,

Julius

It is modern informal usage, rather than grammatically correct.

Mentor Beeesneees,

What is the tense of Are you done?===== I think this one is the correct sentence Have you done?

Am I right?

I am not a native speaker but I think that this is present simple. “done” is an adjective, it means “finished or completed”.
Are you done? = Are you finished/completed?

Hello Screen,

I think you are right. Thank you for answering my post.
