Hi,

Are these sentences natural to a native ear?

[color=blue]1. The first thing I do when I get up is to put three eggs to boil.

  1. The cereals was so full of sugr that I first washed it with water (to get rid of the sugar) and then added milk.

  2. He gave me a half of a half piece.

  1. It would be more natural to say ‘put three eggs on to boil’.
  2. The cereal was… or The cereals were…
  3. It would more natural to say he gave me half of his half
    or
    He gave me a quarter.
