Are these sentences natural? May 3

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

[color=blue]1. Things are not working out as good as I would like them to.

  1. And would you like to bring up your children like that?

  2. It has gotten quite windy now.

Thanks,
MG.

To a certain degree, yes, at least to me and for American English. However, grammarians would say:
#1 Things are not working out as well as I would like them to.
#3 It has got quite windy now. (in UK?) It could be argued whether ‘It has become quite windy now’ is better.
