Are these sentences natural? August 16

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

[color=blue]1. That difference is attributable to timing differences related to opening of accounts. ( should it be opening or openings )

  1. What might be an impediment on that front?

  2. If it was the other way, I can understand it.

Thanks,
MG.

In #1, “opening” is correct, but I would say “the opening of accounts”. Being very picky, the sentence could be further improved by avoiding the repetition of “difference”.

#2 is OK.

#3 should be “If it was the other way, I could understand it.” Consider whether you mean “If it was the other way around/round”.

Thanks Dozy.
