Are these sentences natural? Aug 30

Hi,

Are these sentences natural to a native ear?

[color=blue]1. Are you giving me an attitude ? ( I was kidding with a friend)

  1. It feels like Friday today. ( I said this on a Thursday)

  2. Do any monks still live in this monestary?

Thanks,

MG

  1. “giving someone an attitude” is not an expression I am terribly familiar with, but “attitude” in this sense is common, and there are quite a lot of Google hits for “giving me an attitude”, so I think it is OK.

In modern English, putting a space before a question mark is generally viewed as incorrect. Also, you should not use a space after an opening bracket, which I mention because I think you do this often.

  1. OK.

  2. OK except for the spelling of “monastery”.
