Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

[color=blue]1. I was thinking something on the lines of a nice lunch and some siesta.

  1. I also receive these emails ( I am not sure if the position of ‘also’ correct here. What I am trying to say is that just like the other person, I also get those emails.)

  2. The only way they could do that would be/ is to double their manpower.

Hi MG,

Just two comments on (1) - I would say ‘along the lines’ and ‘a (little) siesta.’ ‘Also’ is in the right place. The difference in the choice in (3) is that ‘would be’ is more tentative than ‘is to’ but both are fine.

Does the sentence “Hope to hearing from you soon.” is incorrect and not formal.

It is incorrect, as I have just indicated in another thread (where I also gave additional information).

It would be very helpful if you did not post duplicate messages in different places.
