Appropriate for or Appropriate to

Hi,
It’s the first time that I’m asking question via the forum! So, I’m happy. I’m going to take IELTS test.
Now I have one question:
What’s the difference between using “for” or “to” after words like “appropriate”, “suitable”, etc. …, or do we allowed to use “for” or “to” after these words?

Please help me.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you again.

“Appropriate” and “suitable” take both prepositions without a change in meaning. I will say that it seems “for” is strongly preferred where the prepositional object is a person.

By the way, “between” takes “and” and not “or.” I’m sure you know your ellipsis is unnecessary. The auxiliary verb “do” will never take a participle. Rather, it takes the base of an infinitive. You need “are we allowed.”
