any teacher or teachers ?

Sometimes we can use singular nouns after any, but what is the difference when we use a plural one?? like:

A)You can borrow any books you like.

B)You can borrow any book you like.

I’ve read lots of articles but I came up with a huge confusion, because in both situations according to different grammar books it shows" an open choice"

SO what is the exact difference??

Best regards
Seied

In your first example you are only allowed to borrow one book, though it can be any book from the whole range.
In your second example you are allowed to borrow a selection of books at the same time, you can take more than one.
