Any minute

Hi all,

“Karen and her new boyfriend are coming to dinner. They’ll be here any minute.”

Right. Is it possible to say “They’ll be here any moment”?

Thanks in advance. Cheerio

Yes, that’s fine.

Hi Bev!

Good. I wasn’t expecting that.

Can I say as below:

  1. They’ll be here at any moment.
  2. They’ll be here at any minute.

‘at any moment’ is okay, as id ‘at any time’ but ‘at any minute’ doesn’t work. When we are specific about the time ‘minute/hour/second’ we do not use ‘at any’.
