any ideas for MA ESL topic?

Hi all, new to this so plz excuse any mistakes i might make!
I’m about to start my MA dissertation about ESL/TESOL but I have NO idea what to do it on as i don’t want to use any human subjects for my research.
I’m way behind so plz let me know if you have ideas!

First off, how can you be an ESL teacher if you can’t spell “please” and don’t know to capitalize “I”? Some future students are in real trouble.

Secondly, what’s wrong with using human subjects for your research? I could see not wanting to use live animals for biology research, but as far as I know, we don’t torture or cut open humans when doing ESL research.

Your choice of a thesis topic will have something to do with your specific interest in the ESL field. What are you interested in?

I just wonder what would happen with spelling of English teachers posts when it wouldn’t be on hand
right program as ABC in all computers or they would be closed forever all online dictionaries one day.

I guess that many “teachers” or native speakers would correct after all their own posts or any other own writings on a computer just using spelling programs (e.g “ABC” from windows).
I think so, because it happens quite often around me and it is good to mention as well that ESL students would know many times English spelling better as native speakers ,also I see how English native speakers and all others work on their own texts everyday and
in general they use at the end spelling checking function.
This is a bit embarrassing don’t you think.
It may be special feature of English language. It would happen very rarely in my case when I write something in Polish.
I could remeber when Torsten had mixed serious with series in one of his texts and I had thought that time than it could be such a case, when you would choose (after “ABC” checking) one of “correct” option and would spoil entire meaning by lack of precise words knowledge.
Here I refer to the word “please” in the post above, of course it is not such a case ,because using shortcuts has different origins.
I hope I am now more clear or intelligible.

No , I don’t think so that natives would do anything much more less perfect than ESL students but when you ask questions concerning English grammar or some more sophisticated words than in general you would be given bullshit with correct meaning on proportion half to half.
Check it yourself ( I mean not you both but any ESL student) when just after reading some word meaning in dictionary and completely fresh with your informations ,you would approach any sons of Albion and naively start the “interrogation”( daugthers of Albion are excluded )
