Hi, can the word innovation be countable? I mean can you say, the invention of the CD was an innvoation?

I think that you use ‘innovation’ as an uncountable noun when it is used in general meaning [let’s say: the period of innovation (innovating)],

You use it as a countable noun when you think of a new technique, idea, etc. ‘It is the latest innovation in electronics./’The invention of CD resulted in the innovations in computer technology’.

I’m not 100 percent sure but I think your sentence is correct. At least I have understood its meaning :slight_smile:
