what the difference of them?could someone tell me

“affectionate towards me” and “affectionate to me” mean the same.
To my mind, “affectionate for me” is incorrect when used in the sense of “affectionate to/towards me”. (It is theoretically possible for the words “affectionate for me” to be used in other ways.)
However “have an affection for someone” is correct, so it is rather confusing.
thanks a lot.by the way.could you tell me what the difference between ‘on the island’ and ‘in the island’
I would normally say “on the island”. However, some people do seem to use “in the island”. If I had to make a distinction, I’d say that “in” tends to be used for large islands (which are viewed more as a region or territory), and “on” for small islands.
