In this world where we live today, people tend to avoid paying attention to anyone who is talking, unless you have a good impression on them. Have you ever asked yourself why don’t we always believe words? I guess the reason of that is that words are alterable; we say something, and we change it the next minute right away. I therefore firmly believe that actions speak louder than words.
First of all, every single person on earth has the freedom to say whatever he/she wants, but it is not something guaranteed that everyone is going to believe you, or take you words into consideration. People nowadays are more likely to believe the language of the body, because it is the evident truth. For example; when someone runs for presidency; he wants to get people’s votes. Thus, he/she starts improving his/her image among people by visiting hospitals, making donations, and giving free stuffs away.
Furthermore; words don’t have the effect that actions do on people. Words are easier to forget, while actions can be forgotten that easy; actions would last forever if they had a great impression on us. It is also impossible to show people how truthful your words are without an evident action. For example; when you say ‘I missed you’ to a friend, and you haven’t even bothered yourself to pick up the phone to know how he/she was doing, then obviously these words are just lies. Hence, actions are more realistic when it comes to expressing our emotions.
To put it all in a nutshell, actions are the optimum way to make people believe you. Words could be a method to convey messages, but it’s not as efficient as actions. Believe me, even if you had the ability to make such great speeches like Barack Obama, you are going to need actions that support your words.
Thanks a lot Mr. Kitos, but I am a little bit confused, why did you change ’ unless you have a good impression on them’ to ’ a good impression of them’?
I know that we leave impressions on people, I still can’t understand what did you mean by ‘impression of them’?
“you have a good impression on them” … is not a recognised phrase in English. However, “unless you MAKE a good impression on them” is, (You impressed them) as is, “you have a good impression of them.” They impressed you.

In this world where we live today, people have verbal and no-verbal ways to communicate their feelings or beliefs such as body language, facial expressions or actions. Definitely, I believe that nonverbal mode is better than verbal mode so, in my opinion, actions speak louder than words. There are reasons of accuracy and trustfulness which explain why actions are the most effective and appropriate way not only to communicate but also to teach different behaviors and values.
Firstly, due to the fact that words are easily manipulated, people are able to say whatever they consider convenient, for example during a politic campaign. Someone who needs people’s votes is going to say what the population wants to hear, despite the truth of his or her words. In contrast, nonverbal expressions are less controllable because it is very difficult to anybody to manage reactions which are automatic such as disgusting-facial expressions or discomfort ones.
Secondly, is popularly believed that when people’s words and actions do not match, the best option is to trust the latter. Generally, we hear some advices and recommendations from several near persons and then, we saw the same people doing exactly the opposite than they suggest. For instance, a mother says to her son not to scream but she is speaking to him in an evident high tone, then the little child is mostly like to learn to speak that way, despite what his mother is trying to teach him.
As I have shown, I strongly believe that actions speak louder than words. Observable behavior is the best way to display right examples of correct and appropriate reactions. In addition, non-verbal expressions are a more reliable mode of communication due to its difficult to distort.

What are some important qualities of a good school teacher?
There are some qualities that should be inherent of a good school teacher. Three most important of them are: punctuality, assiduity and commitment to education.
The first one, punctuality, does not refer only to the action of being on time with the activities, but also reveals the importance and respect that the teacher attributes to their students. The students usually take more serious classes in which teachers are in almost all the cases on time, and if they are not there is a good explanation.
The reasons why assiduity is an important quality for teachers is similar to the punctuality. Teachers that are too much relaxed about missing classes tend to be devalued. For instance, if there is a assignment scheduled for a determined time and the teacher is not there on class, students start to feel capable of not doing it straight anymore. Responsibility related to the hard work is something built using as example people that are near and in a major frame of reference.
The third, last and maybe the most important quality is commitment to education. We could synthesize both punctuality and assiduity at the last one. Commitment to education involves the entire process of teaching. Besides what were discussed before, it also refers to the relationship between students and teachers. Good teachers dispose themselves in order to help their students. Generally they don’t complain if some student spends more time than other to understand a specific subject or issue. What really matters is efficiency of education that must be universal, offering possibilities of learning for all.
Finally, these characteristics are not so easy to find in every school teacher, but are what everyone should expect of a good teacher. Intuitively students judge their teachers taking into consideration these aspects, and it’s also common to observe them punctuating which teachers are the best based on these criteria. Therefore is fundamental to make a good impression on students.
