About GRE Verbal Scoring

Hello

I am preparing for GRE and I have some questions in my mind. I am taking some practice tests. I wonder that how many points does each verbal question hold? I mean we just divide 600 by 30 and 20 is the average score you gain when you got one correct answer? Is there any technique or formula to calculate rough verbal score?

Also I have some problem with timing. When the test poses three articles for reading comprehension, It takes much more time than 30 minutes to read and answer each question properly. Does the real test include two or three articles for reading comprehension? What suggestions do you have for pacing time?

Thanks

There is no precise answer for calculating score by yourself. If you give incorrect answer in the first few and rest all correct, you will get low score comparing to it’s vice versa.
