Hi there,
I am looking for words that are used to describe useless stuff. One single word or idiomatic expression are both welcome.
Thank you.

depending on context -
useless (as in ‘they are useless’)
junk
worthless
scrap
waste
detritus
dross
A good dictionary will give you more synonyms.
Thank you, Bee.
How about something useless but attractive or rare, weird.
I mean, what is the word to describe something rare, weird and and attractive but very useless and might harm you.
Thank you.
If it were rare/weird/attractive then depending on exactly what it was it might be described as
a trinket
a bauble
a knickknack
ornamental / an ornament
a novelty item
a folly
I fail to see how it could be both useless and harmful.
One more for the pot - curio.
How odd to be doing this on a Bank Holiday Monday!
Alan, what bank holiday is today in Brexit land ;-)?[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hi Torsten,
This summer holiday was moved to last Monday in August for England, Wales and N Ireland in 1965 but has remained as the first Monday in August for Scotland.
Alan
So, it’s just called “Summer Bank Holiday”. Very interesting.[YSaerTTEW443543]

Although correctly titled it is Summer Bank Holiday, “August Bank Holiday” is the name it is commonly known as.
“Spring Bank Holiday” is the last Monday in May.
Other Bank Holidays are Christmas Day, Boxing Day (the day after Christmas), New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, and Early May Bank Holiday (the first Monday in May, often just called ‘May Bank Holiday’).
Very infrequently additional Bank Holidays are granted to mark an extra special occasion. The last one that I recall was in 2012 for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee that June.
