"A" vs "one"

Hi,

With: Number + 1/2, 1/3, 1/4

For 1/2, 1/3, 1/4…, can I read “one” instead of “a”?

EX: 1 1/2: One and one half.
1 1/3: One and one third.
1 1/4: One and one quarter.
One and one fourth.
1 1/5: One and one fifth.

“1/2” is called fraction. So, what is “1 1/2” called?

Thanks
K

Hi Van Khanh,
I think it’s not a mistake but you’d better say
1/2-one and a half

1 1/3- One and a third.
1 1/4- One and a quarter and etc.

“1/2” is called fraction. So, what is “1 1/2” called?

It’s also a fraction
