Hi,
Does ‘a ready sale’ means ‘a product that can sell well’?
Thank you very much
Yes.
Mm… are you sure? because I googled it and couldn’t find many results…
Huh huh. I found some sample sentences for you:
“Cheap goods have a ready sale…”
“I trust these goods will reach you safely and find a ready sale…”
“Our record have it that this brand shoes enjoy a ready sale on your neighboring market…”
Good enough?
No, in those sentences ‘a ready sale’ doesn’t mean ‘a product that can sell well’, it only means ‘a state/condition in which a product can sell well’
I asked this question because I have a sentence which I’m not sure is correct:
‘If your products prove to be (not ‘to have’) a ready sale in our market, we’ll place regular orders’
Given your additional explanation, I would say ‘a ready seller’, Abc.
Hi Beeesneees,
Is the phrase commonly used?
Many thanks.
I believe it’s common enough in retail circles.
