Hello!
I would really like to know which the correct order of these sentences is:
a. the fire destroyed over 13,000 houses, 87 churches and the old St. Paul’s Cathedral.
b. one of the good consequences of the fire was that it put an end to the plague.
c. other people believed that the fire was started by the Catholics as a form of revenge against the Protestants.
d. some people believed that both the plague and the fire were the punishment of God for the killing of the king.
e. another good consequence of the fire was that it offered architects, such as Sir Christopher Wren, the opportunity to design the new city of London in accordance with modern requirements.
f. The fire lasted for 5 days.
g. The great fire started on September 2nd, 1666.
h. More than 70,000 people (out of the total population of London of 460,000) had died in the Great Plague.
The paragraph should start with g). To me, the order could be:g;a;f;d;c;b;h;e; Am I wrong?
This is how I would arrange it, but I’d say there were a few different possibilities.
