You asked me why I wanted to learn English, the answer is simple : a language is never acquired and is constantly evolving. Sometimes I lose my confidence and must update my knowledge, that’s why I find your site very useful. Moreover I feel good when I know there is some support. So please go on sending advanced and challenging lessons, I really enjoy reading and writing English. I find difficult to define my difficulties, maybe with phrasal verbs, expressions, I don’t really know. Maybe you will feel what I need through my message, my impression is that I sound “too French” when I write in English.
Bye from now
Marido
Hello Marido
I have read your message and I think you like English, especially business English and want to learn English like me. In my mind, your level seems equivalent to me. So I want to write to you with hope that we can practise English together.
We can write to each other about topics we are interested in. It’s a good way to improve our vocabularies and grammer and ways in communication. We can also talk by mic if you dont mind. It’s a good way to improve our skills of listening and speaking.
How do you think about my suggestion?
looking forwards to hearing from you.
Best regards
Thu
Which also applies to native-speaker use.
yes and no:
Nouns and adjectives may change, but the rules of sentence structure, punctuation, subject/verb agreement… those rules do not change, or at least they shouldn’t.
(so says the Grinch)
Yes why not? but what do you mean by mic? do you mean MSN? in that case explain to me how to do as I am really hopeless! but maybe it’s a good pretext for you to give me explanations in English and to explain carefully the means to do it. So maybe I’ll have the opportunity to improve both my English and my communication with the computer. So be patient with me and thank you in advance.
By the way, where are you from?
Thank you for replying me soon.
How are you today?
First, i want to tell you somethings about myself. I’m from Ha Noi, tha capital of Viet Nam. Do you know about Viet Nam. And you? Where are you from?
I’m working for a law company. I like English and English is very neccesary for my job. So I always try to spend 1 or 2 hours a day on learning English.
I practise 4 skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I feel my English is better day by day due to my assiduousness.
However, I find I cant improve my English if I learn alone.
if we talk by mic, we can practise skills of listening and speaking also reflex in English. Do you have email address yahoo? My email address is sunflower2280. I’ll add you and we can talk by mic about every topics.
So if you have email address, tell me. I hope we can improve our English.
I’m very patient. Believe in me.
Looking forward to you.
Best wishes
Thu
