Hi, Kitos. Below is my new essay. Do you mind that I post one or more essays per day? Because I spend round three hours per day learning, and this is plenty of time for writing 30 min essays :slight_smile: Please tell me if this is causing some kind of difficulties of the site, I do not want to be the black sheep :o

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The invention of the Internet has had negative effects on your civilization. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

The invention of the Internet caused a significant change of the life of people. It affected all aspects of life and business and in my opinion Internet has only positive effects to our civilization. It provides mankind with a fast and cheap communication method, it is a source of information, and it is great for entertainment.

Internet offers very fast and very cheap method of communication, which is also much more sophisticated and with more options than standard mail services. For example, via e-mail can be sent not only plain text, but also pictures, movies, music et cetera. In addition, the delivery term for an e-mail is less than a minute. Moreover, in Internet people can talk and see each other in the same time – the so called video-conference. It is useful and it is free of charge. In the past the video-calls were very expensive and only the biggest companies could afford it. Now video calls are accessible for everyone.

Furthermore, Internet is huge source of information. All the information you need can be found in the Net in a blink of the eye. Before the invention of the Internet, if you need additional data for a given subject, it would cost you great effort to search in piles of books in the library. Contemporary, you can find all the information you need while you are sitting in your living room. Hence, searching for information through the Internet is much more effective and convenient.

Finally, Internet is a miraculous place for entertainment. I can “surf” in Internet for hours, reading interesting articles, watching movies or chatting with some nice pals all over the world. Also, there are many different online communities for people with common interests, so everyone can find someone to talk with and to discuss topics he is interested in. For example, I love to play bridge and I found an internet site, where I can play and discuss the game with other players. So, Internet helps me to find new friends, with whom to practice my hobby.

In conclusion, Internet is a great invention because it is a cheap method of communication, it contains plenty of information and it is good way for entertaining.

Hello MM. I have made a few subtle changes in your text which you will take pleasure in finding. :slight_smile:
Two essays a day is no problem. I only take exception when folk post two, three or even four without even waiting for the first to be edited. Consequently, they all contain the same errors. I hate wasting my time, so my policy is to now totally ignore their postings, unless I have nothing better to do.
