5 Mistakes to Avoid While Writing

ust want to share significant ideas from an article I’ve read.

  1. Capitals letters

For emphasizing words, people are using capital letters in the middle of the sentences. Instead of using capital letters in the middle, it is better to use bold letters or color differentiation or larger fonts for emphasizing purpose.
2. Commas

Comma is a kind of punctuation used to connect short sentences for the purpose of making the sentence longer. Comma can be used with some words like however, but, nevertheless, so, and, etc…

  1. Fused sentence

A fused sentence (also called a run-on sentence) is created when clauses that could stand alone as a sentence are joined with no punctuation or words to link them. Fused sentences must be either divided into separate sentences or joined by adding words or punctuation.

  1. Lack of subject-verb agreement

A verb must agree with its subject in number and in person. In many cases, the verb must take a form depending on whether the subject is singular or plural.
5. Wrong tense or verb form
Errors of wrong tense include using a verb that does not clearly indicate when an action or a condition is, was, or will be completed.

HI,

Some of it sounds all right. I would refer to ‘a’ comma. It isn’t a ‘kind of punctuation’ - it is an actual punctuation mark. Emphasising a word with a capital letter obviously isn’t used and you could highlight the word if it is printed. At the same time it would be better to choose the right position for the word to empahasise it because using ‘bold’ letters in the printed form can be irritating to read if this method is used too often. Clearly using the appropriate tense in a sentence is important.
