Thank you so much Kati for these information. Also could you tell me what is the purpose of snow chains?
Hi Joe, please note that ‘information’ is uncountable so you need to write ‘this information’.[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hello Joe,
It is very good that Torsten corrected you because I never noticed this mistake, whereas I think the INFORMATION b[/b] was one of the first uncountable nouns what I learnt.
I don’t know where you live, but I suppose somewhere it is never snowing.
snow-chains (pl) =chains that are put on the wheels of a car so that it can drive over snowy roads and your car couldn’t slide easily because the chains make difficult to sliding. For example we leave in Hungary and our neighbour country is Austria with its Alps mountains and in winter they don’t permit you to go in the country if you don’t have snow-chains.
Bye: Kati
Hi Kati,
Thank you for your reply. I am from India and there is a small hill station which is 40 Kilometers away from where I live but there is not much snow fall. And the temperature in winter revolves around 3 to 4 degrees. I have always wished to be in a place like that where there is always snowing.
Regards.
Hi Joe,
Your letter has been described about a place where you live. It appeared in my imagination. So your place is far away in a hill. It can be beautiful. You know that the people who live a place where it is never snowing they dreams about place where it is snowing. For example in Italy also it is very rarely snowing and when my husband was in Florence it had been snowing, and it was a festivity for the people. I don’t know whether you have seen Fellini: Amarcord film, there is a scene what my husband saw more earlier than the film was made that the people were very happy when it began to snow.
Who likes skiing adores the snow. When I used to be child I remember that every winter it was snowing and my parents woke us up early morning to go to the street to sweep away the snow from the pavement. Really that time always snowing because there wasn’t still global warming.
We liked very much to sled. We lived in a small country and we attached our sledge to horse pulling sledge and we enjoyed very much. We built snowmen and threw to each other snowballs.

Hi Kati,
Yes you are right, people around here always dream about seeing snowfalls. Seems like you had a very good childhood.Nice pictures indeed.
Regards,
Joe.
Unfortunately, these pictures were not taken by me they are from the Internet. When I used to be child to take photos was a very rare occasion. But sleding or snow ball fights etc were similer - but in my memory - they were more common or more natural that in these photos.

Kati
