Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place do you prefer to live in?
Some people believe that living in a big city is better than in a small town, although they both have their own advantages and disadvantages. From my personal perspective I prefer to live in a big city for several reasons.
The city life goes at a fast pace, more facilities are available. Any new products which come on the market, ranging from electronic items to even a single pen, are instantly available in the city as soon as they are launched. There is a wide variety of shops and thus wide range of choices to choose from.
On the other hand small towns have theiradvantages too. In the small town most people know each other, the air is cleaner, the life at all is more comfortable and safer.For instance when you live in a small town and thief try to enter in your house, your neighboors could see him, but they cannot do anything about it, but if you live in a bigger city you probably would have security system etc in your house/apartment.
Apart from security of living, the standard of living is much higher in cities when compared with towns. The big city provides many more job opportunities, the quality of services is much higher. The standard of education is also higher in cities. The easy availability of technology and modern teaching methods may also be one of the reasons for this. A lot of things in cities help us to lead a better life in society.
When compared to advantages the disadvantages of the city are negligible. Thus I believe living in a big city is more beneficial than living in a small town.I have experienced life both in small town and big city because I was born in a small town,where I lived for nearly 18 years ,and then I went to university and live in Beijing, which is one of the biggest cities in China.In comparison,I prefer to live in big cities, for the following reasons.
First of all,life is much more convenient in big cities,because the infrastructure facilities there is much better. you have gigantic shopping malls,large libraries,and high-speed Internet connection. for example,If go shopping online, I can receive my package within several days, whereas in small cities , I may have to wait for more than a week , and pay for postage fees. worse still, in small town like the one that I once lived , blackout happens much more frequently compared to Beijing, where it is nearly impossible to happen.
I often hear people complain that Beijing is heavily polluted and they believe environment in small town would be much better.But I have to point out that , in fact , for reasons like lose regulation or luck of supervision by local government officials , the environment situation in small town is much more severe. Taking my hometown as an example,illegal coal mines keep cropping up in the vicinity area, where trees were either burned to establish factories or just poisoned to death by toxic sewage from local mines.the mountains are bald , with no sign of any living creatures.the sky is alway gloomy, and the rain is acid and smell. In comparison, Beijing could even be called a green city, with mental factories moved away and air quality is under stringent surveillance.Therefore, I believe the assumption that small town have a better environment is basically a misunderstanding.
Moreover,you also have more work chance ,broader personal relationship and greater opportunities. To illustrate this point, we need look no further than this TOEFL test itself. In Beijing, I can take TOEFL nearly at any period and can choose the nearest test center. But for many of my friends who live small towns, they do not even have a test center there! In Beijing, I can take lectures given by T.D.Lee and many other prominent physicists,which is a unforgettable experience for a young physics major student like me .all those benefits are beyond the reach of a student living in a small town.
In summary, because life in big city is much more convenient, exciting and enjoyable than in small town. I would choose live in big city without hesitation.
Well this is such a good topic to exchange our views and ideas on. i would definitely prefer living in a big city for the matter of fact that Globalization is everywhere and with time things, systems etc change. Big cities develop quickly and are more progressive.There can be disadvantages too e.g pollution and expensive living as compare to small towns.
there are many differrents beween living in twon and city . there are many advantages and disadvantages in living i atwon and so in the city . when you living in the village you have healthy atmosphere , calm living ,there no high traffic in their roads , and almost all people know each others .but the there are many disadvantages such as : less in hospitals , all of the ministries are in the cities , and some goods are not found in the twon .now cities have apollutant atmosphere , corwd traffic , and many people live in asmall area (compared with the number of people ) but it has many survices .

Once the ICS (industries Chimical of Senegalese)company wanted to build a large factory which produce the acid near our community.have a factory in you community present many advantages but also they are a disadvantages.first at all the advantages are,the factory permet the youn person to found a job after there training,also if the community is very far at town,the locality will be known through the country.the locality receive many person who come from by different locality,so the live will be most easier.as well the locality will benefit from infrastructure(road),the buildings …because it’s need to have these infrastructure for to transport the products.One the other hand I have many disadvantage and the most serious is the pollution because the population are exposed by a bad air.in the other words their health is in danger because they don’t breathe (respirer)a pure air.there are also the deplacement of some people toward at locality and it’s the risk to give at the community many bad thing of ther live particulary the children.To my mind if I make one analyse my position is that to build a factory is best because this present many most advantage.

What is our purpose of life? I believe that answer to the question will approach us to the statement. I assert that my major concern is living with pleasure thus living in small town without bothering noises can be my dream. Above all this is true to me because of some reason like as: near to workplace, rid of traffic, and vicinity to nature.
At first, in the big cities people has trouble with communicating to work and it squander their time and energy but in the other hand in the small cities workplace is near to their home. For example four years ago I lived in Tehran that is capital of my country it is really crowd and noisy so I spent 3 hours in the day for communicating to work but now I worked in a small city that is near to the capital city and I am so comfortable.
Also, nowadays one of the big problem at any city is traffic because it caused many diseases such as emotional and physical. I can remember a day that I stayed in traffic for three hours as I was coming back from work and it was absolutely disaster. pollution will cause physical diseases and wasting time can emerge nerves and other problems. Therefor living in the small cities can be more pleasure.
Finally, this is a fact that every person will show a good outcome in a beautiful nature. Whereas most of small cities have perfect scenery so they have decisive impact on human emotion. The best example is my father he has worked in several cities for a company but he has a memorable picture from one of small city in north of our country that has lots of fantastic landscape and he says, " I had a profound outcome and also the best life in the city".
In the final analysis, life will be pleasure in a small city because of its nature and calmness therefore I would prefer to live in small city instead of big one.

As a student I hardly support for the importance of library in every college and even in every society/community. Library is the resource of education/information. There is huge difference between two students who has plenty of books to read since their primary school and another does not have such opportunity. Library not only for college student but also for public may develop attitudes of people in the society.
In my opinion, student does not get better knowledge about the subject matter if he or she is suffering from deficit of extra materials. Student can’t buy every material such as books, journal, software related with their degree or course, at that situation library could be the sources of information student can get easily. If one can get lots of material to use and read at the time of research this research seems to be more effective than the research which does not have sufficient materials. University with better library is in the high rank in academic aspect however, it is insufficient in the other infrastructure.
However, someone can say, other parts of university is as important as library to develop the condition of student and university such as qualities of professor, lab material, funding for student, infrastructure. I can’t deny that opinion, but strongly support the importance of library. For example, if one professor is highly qualified in his subject matters but does not have enough reading material could not teach actual fact in present day; because in every field there is doing new research may have new data and information.
In conclusion, information is the most important things to develop the society, country and the whole world. If every community has access such information, country can develop in rapid speed. So, every university/college needs to establish better library. first and then thinks other parts later. All of the young generation are now in their learning phase and are in school/ university to fill their hunger of knowledge. If they have abundant things to fulfill their hunger, they can see their future bright through knowledge they get in university.

In a person’s life his native place plays an important role. Although some people think that it is better for children to grow up in countryside but I prefer big city due to following reasons.
First, in big city everything is easily available that is required for a child’s growth. For instance, schools, health cares, sports facilities and food facilities all are available but in countryside these thing are presents in less no or not as much good as we found in big city. Most of countryside people send their children in city’s school and in case of illness most of countryside doctors refer patients to big city hospitals.
Another, Some environmentalist had proven that in a child’s IQ (intelligence), environment in which he surrounds play a relevant role. For example, if a child grows up in rich environments like good friends, parents, good schools and good neighborhoods etc. than his overall development is better than that of a child in countryside where lack of good schools and there is most neighborhoods are unlettered.
Although I support big city life for children’s growth but some people think countryside is also better because in city there is a big problem of pollution and due to this pollution many children become ill and some get permanent disease like breath problem, hearing problem due to high noise pollution etc. And in early stage of development children require pure and holly as well as natural environment which is present only in countryside.
In sum, I want to say that both countryside and big city have their own advantages and disadvantage. So it should be decided by parents that for their children either countryside is good or big city. According to me if countryside is nearer to city then countryside life is better and we can also enjoy city’s facilities but in case if countryside is very far from city that it is difficult to make contact with city, in that case city life is better.
