Simple Present III (Unit 9)

I can find a lot of interesting sentences here.

Hi Sunny. Here It goes my sentences in simple present: I go play tennis but Mathews does not go. We play snooker everyday but Ruy does not play. We like jogging but they do not like. Am I correct? Please send to me feed back. My best regards.

I go to play tennis but Mathews does not go.
We play snooker every day (two words) but Ruy does not play.
We like jogging but they do not like it.

Hai Sunny!

here are some negative sentences i have tried,

You do not know anything about him
We do not want any explanation
They do not eat vegetarian
He does not Finish writing
She does not like this colour
It does not bite
I do not need your help

Hi,

No need for the capital ‘F’ in ‘finish’. They are all fine.

Hello Francisca,

You need to correct your sentences so that they include full stops.

I don’t speak Belgian languages.
She doesn’t need a medicine.
They don’t want to waiting here anymore.
It doesn’t belong to me.
It’s not mine.
You don’t want to know that.
We don’t live in Iraq.
She never knows the answer. ( Do I need use ‘s’ after the ‘know’ in this case? I think so.)
Television doesn’t work without electricity.
Mobile phone has a accumulator.

I don’t speak Belgian.
or
I don’t speak the Belgian language.

She doesn’t need medicine. (uncountable)

They don’t want to wait here any more. (You are still confusing the infinitive and gerund forms).

A mobile phone has an accumulator.

The rest are okay.

Belgians have 3 official languages, haven’t they? Please, explain it why don’t we need ‘s’.
Thanks
My mistakes make me angry and headache. Sorry for my mistake.

Hmmm, yes. Good point. I took the sentence at face value without thinking about it enough. Sorry.

Flemish (Dutch) is the most widely used, so for accuracy I should have said:
I don’t speak Flemish/Dutch
or I don’t speak the Flemish/Dutch language

If you want to use ‘languages’ meaning all three: Flemish, German and French, then for clarity the sentence should read something like this:
I don’t speak a Belgian language
or
I don’t speak any of the Belgian languages.

I donot speak french
I donot like coffee
He doesnot play football
She doesnot wear sunglasses

I do not like tea
She does not study hard.
We do not smoke.
He does not make good paintings
They do not laugh on jokes
It does not wags its tail

Hello everyone,

I have a question.
These shoes are mine. ( What does it convey? How many shoes do you think? one pair or more than one pair? You think both?)

Thank you.

Either one pair or more than one pair is possible.

hi dear teacher
i don’t like to eat meat.
she doesn’t work out.
i don’t get up early.
i don’t attention to lesson.
she doesn’t pay to me.
i don’t get it.

I don’t pay attention to the lesson.

Sentences always begin with a capital letter.
The pronoun ‘I’ is always written as a capital letter, regardless of its position in a sentence.

Few sentences in simple present are following:

  1. I dont like oily food.
  2. My friend doesnt like going out.
  3. I dont smoke.
  4. Does she love to eat ice creams.
  5. I dont know him

Please correct me if there are any mistakes.

  1. Although this is correct if you wish to ask if she likes to eat more than one ice cream, if this question is about whether she likes the taste of ice cream in general, then it should be:
Does she like to eat ice cream? (As ice cream is uncountable and doesn’t take the plural form.)

You have used abbreviated forms in your sentences, but not punctuated them correctly:
don’t (abbreviated form of ‘do not’)
doesn’t (abbreviated form of ‘does not’).

You’ve also missed the full stop from your last sentence.

Good morning Sir, Sunny.
I am Sunita here.
I like this English Course very much.
But still I don’t improve a little,
though our teachers work hard.
She spends less time on lessons.
I don’t do so.
He knows English but he doesn’t speak fluently.

see you…

Hello, Dear Team,
I don’t like learn English after noon.
I don’t like any language like English.
I don’t like Techno musik.
As I no he does not like Techno musik.
I do not give up on learning English.

Be much welcomed!
