Macbeth and the future tenses? (Looking Ahead)

sorry Alan. Although i read future tense in your issue carefully, i can’t still understand the mean of some phrases in it. for example: go under for the third time, gave her a fine pair of shoes, owned one shoe.
what are the differences in two ways when using " be going to" and" be to do" in the two sentences:- the Olympic Games are to take place in London in 2012.

  • the Olympic Games are going to take place in London in 2012? maybe it is the same meaning.
