University education should be free to everyone, regardless of income.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
These days, the importance of university education has increased. Many people believe that, the education that the universities provided should be free of cost, however, I think, the small education fee is required for such kind of education.
First of all, if higher education is free, people from all social strata would learn. That would be definitely helpful for the growth of the nation. A number of people would be doctors and engineers which would be helpful to build the nation. Additionally, people with highly qualified skillsets, helps to attract the employers across the globe, resultantly, many job opportunities would be made available for the people.
On the other hand, the government has to invest a huge amount of money in university studies. If the people graduated from the universities and immigrated to other nations for higher salaries, the investment would be wasted, and eventually, there are no benefits to the government from these people. Also, the ratio of college dropouts would also increase. Ultimately, there is a waste of money, and the governments would be at a big loss.
If there is a small number of fees for higher education, governments would save money and could also invest that money in the other sectors. Also, in this approach people would be more serious towards their learning, and the end outcome would more fruitful.
In conclusion, although the benefits of free education are there, some drawbacks are also there. Considering this, there should be small fees for people while pursuing a university education so that both of them would get the advantage from such kind of system.
