I absolutely agree. You could also say I’m starved. Sadly enough millions of people go hungry every day worldwide while we in the so-called ‘developed world’ through away tons of food. Here is what’s wrong with out society.

The trouble with ‘I’m starved’ is it suggests that someone might be preventing you from eating. ‘i’m starving’ would be better.
